“David and his crew are absolutely fantastic. Our house is ninety years old and was in serious need of some TLC. After we had plaster repairs done in every room on the main floor, David and his crew painted every ceiling, every wall, and inside and outside of all cabinets. On the outside they painted around windows on the porch, as well as several windows in other areas with exposed wood. They encountered several unexpected issues (a paneled wall that needed extensive sanding, cabinets that needed intense scrubbing, etc). David talked through options with me and was clear about pricing as we navigated each surprise. He’s professional, trustworthy, and he and his crew do BEAUTIFUL work. I feel like we’ve gotten a new house. They managed to fix several cosmetic things I didn’t think were fixable; they really do go above and beyond. Highly recommend!“

“David Ballew and his well-oiled team spent the spring and summer sprucing up my 1920s home on the inside and the outside. They worked congenially around grand children and the various challenges that this old house owner put in their way. That would include detail work in the shop on 80 screen and storm windows and fixing lead-weighted sash cords. David is all about the logistics and using his people for maximum efficiency and to the best of their abilities. He was up on the ladder/scaffold himself when it came time to spray-paint the stucco. There is a sense of pride among the crew. It’s reflected in the joy I feel when I come home to the beautiful exterior trim and interior walls and ceilings that their craftsmanship has created. In 30 years here I have not employed a better company. Though I have a gleam in my eye about a couple more projects they could do for me, I will recommend them enthusiastically to anyone to whom the best quality work matters.“

“We have been very pleased with the work DAB Painting has provided for us. They have done interior and exterior painting in and on our home. From the beginning of each project, David has provided us with estimates and a time frame, both of which he has held to (weather permitting). During one of our interior projects, he went above and beyond to ensure that our stained doors met our expectations, spending many hours crafting the technique used. The painters are professional and pay attention to detail, including thoroughly cleaning up at the end of each day. “We renovated three old bathrooms, and our general contractor brought in DAB painting to paint the walls, doors, and trim for all three. They sanded and primed everything carefully and did a beautiful job on the final coats. We rescued a lot of original woodwork that was painted with lead-based paint. DAB took it back to the shop and stripped, sanded, primed and painted it there. It looks as good as new. We were so pleased that we just had them back to stain our deck and paint the rails. They spent a day pressure washing, two days on prep (the most important part of the job), a day on painting, and a day on staining. The deck looks great. The owner, David Ballew, has been in business since 1993. Some of the crew have been painters for over 20 years and have worked together as a team for many years. They are friendly and know what they are doing. I highly recommend DAB Painting.“

“We were very pleased with the work DAB Painting performed. Mr. Ballew was prompt in providing us with a detailed estimate. He and two employees were consistently present and working through the whole preparation and painting process. He explained what they were doing and was willing to answer questions. They cleaned up after themselves each day. He did some extra work that was not in the estimate and he did not charge us for that. We were very pleased with his conscientious attitude, customer service and professionalism. It was obvious to us that he and the two men working with him were professional and took a great deal of pride in their work. We will definitely use Ballew’s Painting in the future.“

“David Ballew and his crew painted the exterior, interior, and porch of our remodeled 1928 Bungalow. They were on time, no extra or hidden charges, and stayed in contact throughout the job if there were any questions or concerns about what they were asked to do. The exterior paint needed some scraping on the rafter tails but the body of the house had new wood siding to duplicate the old siding that had been there. It all had to be primed and then caulked and painted. D.A.B Painting did a careful job with the scraping and cleaned up all the mess. They spent a lot of time prepping areas they were going to spray and did not damage anything while spraying the primer or paint. David Ballew realized after the exterior wood was primed that all the nail holes from the power nailer were so deep that the holes would be noticeable when he painted. I appreciated his desire for the finish job to reflect good workmanship and even though it required a tedious day’s work, they filled each nail hole before they painted. We used several colors on the outside and they did not hesitate to comply with my wishes. Inside they primed the new drywall walls, caulked all the trim and painted – once again in varying colors. They cut in beautifully, worked diligently and cleaned up after themselves each day. I love the little house now and David Ballew’s Painting is a big reason why.“
